The University offers a number of resources to provide services to students. Through these, you can seek educational resources, mental health support, academic accommodations, and officially report any discrimination, harassment, or sexual violence you may be experiencing.
Student-Run Resources
Student organizations designed to make McMaster more inclusive exist all over campus! The services and clubs listed here are places where you can connect with peers and seek support.
In addition to the MSU- and MES-run resources, there are many clubs dedicated to helping students of diverse backgrounds build community. A list of these clubs can be found on the MSU website.
McMaster Students Union
MSU Services are accessible to all undergraduate McMaster students.
Pride Community Center - A community for 2SLGBTQ+ students dedicated to ensuring that campus is safe and supportive of all students
Women and Gender Equity Network - A peer-support system for women, transgender, gender nonbinary, and gender nonconforming students, as well as survivors of sexual violence of all genders.
Diversity Services - A group dedicated to celebrating, uniting, and advocating for diversity in race, ethnicity, culture, and faith on campus.
SHEC - A peer-run health promotion, education, and referral service
Maccess - A peer support, advocacy, and community center for students with disabilities, chronic illness, and mental health concerns.
McMaster Engineering Society
MES Services are available to all undergraduate engineering, computer science, and BTech students.
MES Equity and Inclusion Officer - An individual, appointed by the MES, dedicated to sharing resources, creating initiatives, and supporting students.
Women in Engineering Society - A community where female-identified students can feel empowered and supported throughout their education.
National Society of Black Engineers McMaster - A chapter with the mission of increasing the number of successful, culturally responsible Black engineers , while also trying to bring awareness towards Black students in STEM.
EngiQueers - A national organization dedicated to raising awareness of and celebrating 2SLGBTQ+ engineers
