  • We hire several materials engineering student interns for 16 month terms. Job postings are usually available on OscarPlus.

    The co-op students assist Metallurgists with the development of new materials and processes in support of business development initiatives at multiple facilities.

    Our co-op job profile includes active participation in the development of processes, components and equipment selection, assessment of the physical structure and properties of various materials used in the different products.

  • Our products are tailored to customer needs by utilizing elemental deposition, heat treatment, and more relevant techniques.

    Fundamentals of heat and mass transfer correlating to material properties are essential in our business.

  • A fluid understanding of metal treatment techniques and mechanical properties is desirable.

    The students are responsible of the creation of reports summarizing results, observations and recommendations, development of standard work instructions (SWI), and assistance in the processing of prototypes, conduct trials including the collection, analysis and presentation of data to the project team, among other things.

    A student’s ability to work in a team is high valued. They are expected to combine their organizational and documentation skills in order to identify, analyze, and solve problems with clear communication to multidisciplinary teams.
